Betty (Dunn) McInnis

Bennettsville Betty Dunn McInnis, 78, passed away Wednesday, June 15, 2022, at Cheraw Healthcare in Cheraw.

Born October 20, 1943, in Gibson, NC, she was a daughter of the late Luther and Lillie Caldonia Evans Dunn. Mrs. Betty was married to the late Sidney Johnson McInnis, III. She was a member of Christ United Methodist Church, where she was a member of several groups within the church and was also a Red Bird Missionary. She was a volunteer firefighter with Brightsville Volunteer Fire Department and was a member of the ladies auxiliary.

She is survived by her sons, Ben Walters, Jr. and wife Paula of Lancaster, OH, Rocky Walters and wife Nancy of Warner Robins, GA, Clark McInnis and wife Susan of Woodstock, GA, and Scott McInnis and wife Renee of Hamlet, NC; daughter, Wendy Gaye Dunn and husband Michael of Jacksonville, NC; very special friends, J.D. and Christine Hyatt; special mother-In-law, Pearl McInnis; sister, Mary Ruth Byrge of Lafayette TN; grandchildren, Benjamin, Jordan, Garrett, Shelby, Olivia, Chyenne, Morgan, Ethan, Kayleigh, and Caden; great grandchildren, Kara, Vincent, Ruthanne, Levi, Lydia, and Henrik.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 21, 2022, at Christ United Methodist Church, with a committal service to follow in Newton Cemetery.

A visitation will be held from 6 until 8 p.m. Monday, June 20, 2022, at Burroughs Funeral Home.
