Rev. Walter Larry Baldwin

Bennettsville, SC Rev. Walter Larry Baldwin passed away Wednesday, March 8, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. He was 69 years old.

Born May 29, 1953, in Rock Hill, SC, he was a son of the late Rev. Sam E. and Catherine Patterson Baldwin. Rev. Baldwin loved the Lord and dedicated himself to a life of ministry, initially serving as co-pastor at Victory Christian Center, then later as the pastor of Steven’s Memorial Pentecostal Holiness Church. He played an instrumental role as one of the founding members of Steven’s Christian Academy and later worked with Whitner-Evans Funeral Home. He lastly served on the ministerial and praise teams at Victory World Outreach Center. In his free time, he enjoyed eating ice cream, singing, and spending time with people. Rev. Baldwin was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather and treasured time spent with his family.

Rev. Baldwin was preceded in death by his parents, listed above; brothers, Rev. Edd Baldwin and Billy Baldwin; and sister, Becky Strickland.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory: his beloved wife, Libbie, of the home; son, William Baldwin (Ashton) of Cameron, NC; daughters, Jackie Baldwin and Ashley Feldner (Shawn), both of Bennettsville; and grandchildren, Brooke Feldner, Bailey Todd, Seth Feldner, David Feldner, and Joshua Baldwin.

A memorial service will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 12, 2023, at Victory World Outreach Center. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at the church.
